Before submitting the research manuscript, it is understood that all the authors have read the following copyright and License Agreement and agree to it.
If manuscript after peer review process is accepted for publication in Canadian Journal of Biotechnology, authors agree to pay the processing fee as mentioned in the ‘Publication charges’ in lieu of its open access online publication. Authors also agree to grant irrevocable nonexclusive license to publish it in electronic form and sublicense the manuscript for the full legal term of copyright and any renewals thereof.
Authors have the perpetual royalty free right to reproduce the manuscript in any format. However, authors must acknowledge the first publication by Canadian Journal of Biotechnology in case of publication of the manuscript in book or otherwise manner.
After publication in Canadian Journal of Biotechnology, manuscript will be open accessed license type as per Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/).
Authors confirm that the manuscript is their original work. This work is not under consideration for publication anywhere else and has not been published anywhere else either in print or electronic form. Authors confirm that they are the sole author(s) of the manuscript and have full power to enter into this agreement and in granting rights to Canadian Journal of Biotechnology and there is no breach of any other obligation.
Authors understand that it is their responsibility to obtain necessary permissions for the reproduction of any copyright material if is being used in the current manuscript and all the sources have been acknowledged properly. Authors are also responsible for any violation of existing copyright, other party rights or any statements made and there is no infringement of any right(s) of others. Genuineness of the data in the manuscript is also responsibility of the authors.
Author(s) agree to indemnify Canadian Journal of Biotechnology against any claim(s) with respect of the above mentioned warranties/ assurances.
Authors are suggested to screen out any information that may constitute State secrets under the law of their own country or Canada before submitting the manuscript to Canadian Journal of Biotechnology. Understanding that copyright remains with the author(s), they hereby authorize Canadian Journal of Biotechnology to act on authors’ behalf to defend authors’ copyright should it be infringed, and to retain half of any damages awarded, after deducting costs.
